Membership Renewal & Points System

Tambutso Riders rewards consistent participation and meaningful contribution. The goal is not simply to collect the highest number, but to strengthen the community through rides, events, service and responsible involvement.

How points are earned

Contribution has different forms.

Points are based on the activity type chosen when a ride or event is created. If an authorized attendance adjustment is recorded, that value is used instead of the standard points.

01 0.5 points

Meetups / Polls

Official meetups, polls and surveys that keep members informed and involved.

02 1 point

Tambike / Quick Rides / Merit

Tambike, breakfast and chill rides, plus approved merit for meaningful contributions.

03 2 points

Official Group Rides

Planned official rides announced for the wider Tambutso community.

04 3 points

Long / RAK Rides

Long or out-of-city rides and approved Random Acts of Kindness activities.

05 4 points

Official Tambutso Events

Grand Eyeball, anniversary, family day and other official Tambutso events.

06 5 points

Out of Country Rides

Officially recognized Tambutso rides conducted outside the country.

Plan the category before the ride. Long rides must be planned and announced as long rides. A quick ride that becomes longer during the activity keeps its original category, helping ensure every member had the same information before deciding whether to join.

Membership renewal

More participation, lower renewal cost.

Membership remains voluntary. Members may choose not to renew, regardless of the number of points accumulated.

Frequently asked questions

Clear rules for every rider.

How are my points recorded?

Points come from confirmed attendance on completed rides and events. The leadership team may apply an authorized adjustment when required.

Can points be awarded retroactively?

Only activities completed within the applicable membership year are counted. Questions about a missing record should be raised with the leadership team.

Do unused points carry over?

No. Points apply to their recorded membership year and do not transfer to the following year.

Can I transfer points to another member?

No. Participation points are personal and cannot be shared, gifted, sold or exchanged.

What if I finish with 0–6 points?

You may withdraw voluntarily or ask your Chapter VP for committee review by January 15, explaining any circumstances that affected your participation.

Is membership renewed automatically?

No. Renewal is not automatic. The annual points result determines the applicable renewal bracket, subject to the current membership rules.

Can the system change?

Yes. The leadership team may adjust point values or renewal rules as the organization develops. Material changes should be communicated to members.

How do I appeal a decision?

Submit a written appeal through your Chapter VP. The committee will review the case and issue its final decision.
